A tornado threatens southeastern U.S.

The Storm Prediction Center issued a tornado warning today in the United States sort of area that affects the states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, where heavy rains are affecting the entire region. The Centre is following the path of storms moving from the Savannah River Valley, in Georgia, and they are downloading in its wake heavy rainfall and occasional lightning. According to local TV station WSOC, these meteors are generating enough wind power to produce short-lived tornadoes that can cause damage.

The rains have turned to sleet in some areas, which have come to accumulate up to 5 inches, and strong winds have reached 110 kilometers per hour.The alert has been effective in some areas of northern Georgia, west-central and northeastern North Carolina and central and upstate South Carolina until Sunday night.Officials recommend that people seek a sturdy shelter away from windows until the storm passes and stay informed with weather updates.
